Operativ located in Kirkland, Washington was created to help answer the need for improved instruments, tools, and techniques utilized in joint replacement methods. These improvements have created a necessity for new venues of research and education; Operativ provides those venues.
Operativ Matrix Courses
Improvements in joint replacement methods are occurring faster than our ability to master them in traditional learning settings. Furthermore, direct-to-consumer programs are creating an increasing demand for these new innovations in surgery. These improvements and the speed that they are evolving at have created a need for new venues of research and education. Operativ’s Matrix Courses enable surgeons to share these advances within the context of their own communities.
Operativ Round Table Discussions
Operativ’s courses are formatted as Round Table Discussions that highlight the experience of local surgeon experts and leaders. Topics focus on innovations in orthopedics including unicondylar knee replacement, hip resurfacing, patellofemoral replacement, shape-fit technologies, and other innovations directed at the younger, higher-demand patient.
Operativ Cadaver Lab and Surgeon Visitation Programs
Operativ Cadaver Course can accommodate up to 32 surgeons at a time. Over 250 surgeons have already attended this course. We are able to provide a fully functional Navigation Based Cadaver Lab where new surgical techniques can be safely developed, tested and taught. We provide Operativ patented artificial knees and hips in order to demonstrate and teach advanced methods in surgery.

Operativ is equipped with a fully functional Navigation Based Cadaver Lab where new surgical techniques can be safely developed, tested and taught.
The Operativ surgeon visitation program allows surgeons to actually participate in live surgeries with surgeons who are experienced in a wide variety of advanced techniques.
